Cycle Breakers
2 Timothy 1:3-7
I thank God, whom I serve as my forefathers did, without ceasing I remember you in my prayers, greatly desiring to see you, mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you...God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
The testimony of these three generations invoke faith and inspire believing hearts, that all us can be influencing change.
Motherhood and maternal instincts of safety, cherishing and nurture go to another level when God is in the mix.
These biblical real life mothers broke the cycle of generations, push through in faith on behalf of their children with special and unique gifts imparting spiritual destinies to their children.
‘What’s in them, is in you, now steward this passion, dont let it go out, fan into flame the gift that is in you because of your Grandmother and Mother.’ Paul says. (2 Tim 1/6-7)
Significant players deposited the gifts of God, initiated and stepped out, starting something in God for next generations.
Cycle breakers of sin, religion and past traditions, through faith, this Jewish family moved from Judaism to following Jesus, leaving the Old Covenant life into fully walking in a new and living way.
The power of prayer and example of these women set the trajectory for a brand new generation of revival people.
Mothers have a direct role of breaking cycles and bringing a
God Change of poverty into Blessing, despair into Hope, condemnation to the fullness of Grace, hurt and failure into Healing and wholeness, medeocracy into Destiny.
*Others like Hannah, the mother of Samuel who through barrenness and brokenness gave birth to a son who grew into exceptional character and a great biblical revivalist.
Mothers, grandmothers usher into the world through prayers, afflictions and pain releasing supernatural grace. (1 Sam 1:6-8)
*Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist was told he will be/ great in the sight of the Lord and be filled with the Holy Spirit, from her womb. (Luke 1/15)
It happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
This visit was ‘a Holy Spirit Encounter,’ what happens to Mother, happens to Baby. (Luke 1:39-41)
A spiritual revivalist was born, a forerunner of Jesus who transformed generations and mellinias to come.
Mothers and Grandmothers are graced to break cycles and impart destinies to new generations by sowing in tears, prayers and great personal sacrifice.
